CLOSURE OF ZNPF MEMBER ACCOUNTS

The National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) is a custodian of all the assets and liabilities of the Zambia National Provident Fund (ZNPF) which was closed to new members in 2000 with the creation of NAPSA.

Following recent approval by Cabinet to close all existing Zambia National Provident Fund (ZNPF) member accounts and pay off all the ZNPF members, including those below 50 years, the Authority wishes to inform the ZNPF members and the public that arrangements are underway to put in place the necessary legal framework to facilitate the payments. Members will be informed accordingly once the legal framework is in place.

This notwithstanding, all ZNPF members who contributed to the ZNPF and have reached 50 years or will reach 50 years in 2020, are welcome to claim their benefits any time as this is an ongoing process.
