ACC Honours NAPSA as 2024 Integrity Champion

The Anti-Corruption Commission has honoured the National Pension Scheme Authority (NAPSA) as the 2024 Integrity Champion recognising its exemplary commitment to ethical standards and anti-corruption initiatives. The announcement was made at the 2024 Integrity Committee Chief Executive Officers’ Forum organised by the Anti-Corruption Commission on 1st November 2024 at Mulungushi International Conference Centre, in Luska following a robust adjudication process involving 235 integrity committees from various institutions across Zambia.


NAPSA also excelled in the Parastatal Bodies Category, demonstrating its dedication to best practices as a public institution.


The ACC also awarded Ruth Nswana, a NAPSA employee, with the ACC Director General’s Award for her exceptional commitment to integrity and resilience in the fight against corruption.


The Secretary to the Cabinet, Mr. Patrick Kangwa, who officiated the forum, urged institutions nationwide to integrate Integrity Committees into their frameworks to promote transparency, ethics, and accountability.


In his remarks, NAPSA Director General Muyangwa Muyangwa expressed gratitude to the ACC for the recognition, highlighting the importance of fostering a transparent and ethical workplace. He also commended NAPSA’s Integrity Committee for their efforts and encouraged continued action against corruption.
“I want to thank the ACC for your recognition of the efforts NAPSA is putting in building a transparent and ethical institution that lives up to the ideals of good corporate governance.
I would also like to commend our Integrity Committee within NAPSA for stirring the ship and urge them to continue waging the fight against corruption for us to create a corruption-free working environment,” he said.


Mr. Muyangwa also congratulated Ruth Nswana on her well-deserved award and encouraged her to continue serving as an inspiration to others in the institution.


NAPSA’s recognition as 2024 Integrity Champion demonstrates its proactive measures in establishing and implementing robust anti-corruption interventions, reflecting a strong institutional commitment to ethical practices and sets a benchmark for other institutions in enhancing their anti-corruption efforts.
