National Pension Scheme Authority -NAPSA- has donated one hundred and fifty thousand Kwacha towards the successful hosting of the Central Province Investment forum and exposition slated for October 8th to 13th 2018.
Speaking when he presented a cheque to the Central Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kabwe in Chisamba recently, NAPSA Director General, Mr. Yollard Kachinda hailed the Central Province Administration for taking up an initiative aimed at marketing the investment potential of Central Province..
Mr. Kachinda said NAPSA would like to explore investment opportunities in the region and extend its social security coverage to informal workers in the agriculture sector.
“We want to commend you for the initiative that you have taken to sale the province. As a national institution and local investor, we are glad to partner with you and participate in this expo through our investment activities following through our investment guidelines. We pledge to support you meet some of the expenses that you will incur during the Expo,” he said.
In receiving the Cheque, Central Province Permanent Secretary Chanda Kabwe said hosting of the expo would go a long way in implementing the Seventh National Development Plan which espouses Investment as key in attaining sustainable development.
Mr. Kabwe thanked NAPSA and assured the Authority that the Expo would unlock the investment potential of the region especially in rural areas, adding that Central Province was capable of contributing to regional and national food security.
“We want to promise you that come five years from now, you are going to see the seed that you have planted today because this Expo is a sure way of reducing developmental inequalities in the province and beyond,” he said.
The Central Province Investment Forum and Expo is being held under the theme “Accelerating investment for inclusive and sustainable development”.
